How the AI works

When you request an itinerary, our AI takes into account your travel dates and available days, your budget per person, your group composition (solo, couple, family, group) and your stated interests.

It then sequences activities intelligently — placing early-morning visits where queues are shortest, grouping geographically proximate attractions, balancing intense cultural visits with relaxed meals and discovery time.

Every activity in the generated itinerary is cross-referenced against the Tiqets catalogue in real time, so you see live availability and accurate pricing — not approximations.

The result is an itinerary that reads like it was built by a local expert who also happens to have access to every skip-the-line ticket in the city. Which is essentially what we've built.

Our technology is powered by large language models for natural language itinerary generation, combined with structured data from the Tiqets Partner API for real booking integration.

We are continuously improving the AI based on user feedback and booking patterns, with regular updates to destination content and new cities added regularly.

An independent editorial team

CityPlanAI is built and maintained by a small, independent editorial team of travel researchers — not a faceless aggregator. We personally research, write and update every one of our 52 destination guides, drawing on first-hand travel, official tourism sources and the live Tiqets catalogue.

We use AI to assemble itineraries faster, but the editorial judgment — which neighbourhoods are worth your time, when to visit the Colosseum, which tickets actually skip the line — comes from people who travel.

We fund the site through affiliate commissions on the experiences you book via Tiqets. We only ever recommend experiences we'd book ourselves, and our commission never changes the price you pay.
