Why visit
Las Vegas?

Las Vegas is the world's entertainment capital — 4.5 miles of neon-drenched mega-resorts housing Michelin-starred restaurants, 20,000-seat arenas, rooftop pools and casinos that never close. There is genuinely nothing else like The Strip.

Beyond the neon, Las Vegas is the gateway to some of America's greatest landscapes. The Grand Canyon South Rim, Antelope Canyon, Red Rock Canyon and the Hoover Dam are all within a 4-hour drive — making Vegas one of the USA's best base camps.

When to Visit Las Vegas & How to Get Around

Best Time to Visit

March–May is ideal: warm (20–30°C), comfortable for outdoor activities and outdoor pools just opening. Spring break in March brings larger crowds.

September–November is the local favourite: summer heat fades, hotels slash rates and The Strip is vibrant without peak-season crowds.

June–August hits 40°C+ — extreme heat is manageable if you move between air-conditioned venues but outdoor excursions should start at dawn.

Getting Around Las Vegas

Walking The Strip seems easy but the mega-resort blocks are enormous — plan 1 hour to walk the full length. Free trams connect some adjacent resorts.

Monorail & bus — the Las Vegas Monorail runs along the east side of The Strip. The Deuce bus covers the full Strip 24/7 for $8/day.

Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) is the most practical option for off-Strip venues, Downtown Las Vegas and late-night transport.

A small but growing creative neighbourhood near Downtown with galleries, craft cocktail bars and the best non-casino dining in the city.
